
"We
started the group with great passion and enthusiasm to involve
as many women as we can in looking at equality issues and encouraging
women to use their voices. " said Cleo Matthews.
"I attended a meeting
of the Brighton International Women's Day Group and I got all
excited and passionate about it and thought: ' we need something
within West Sussex because at that time we hadn't heard of anything
else'."
Five
women responded to the initial advert and now the group has been
going since 1995. Cleo says the group is open to "all women;
all ages, all races, all creeds.
